Sunshine Coast hinterland - Maleny, Montville and Mapleton

If travelling from Brisbane, Maleny is about a 1 hour trip north via Landsborough. Or, if travelling from the Sunshine Coast you can enter the range via Nambour and Mapleton. Or if travelling from Gympie you can reach us via the Imbil - Kenilworth - Conondale track.

Maleny 

Includes the areas of Witta, Curramore, Reesville, Wootha, North Maleny and Balmoral. All of which offer differing aspects of the spectacular views from the Blackall Range. These include views of the Glasshouse Mountains, sea views, north to Kenilworth Bluff, Baroon Pocket Dam and more.

The main street of Maleny has much to offer in the way of Galleries, Cafes, Restaurants, and a very interesting variety of shopping and delectables.

Lake Baroon can be accessed via Teak St. Maleny (sailing, canoe, fishing) or Western Ave Montville (Dam Wall).

Montville

This popular village is full of eateries and a great variety of shopping and sightseeing.

National parks and forestry parks

There are numerous National Parks and Forestry parks within a short travel from Maleny.

Baloomba Falls Forestry Park, Charlie Moreland Forestry Park, Little Yabba picnic area that are all between Conondale and Kenilworth.

Mapleton Fall National Park which has wheelchair access

Mary Cairncross forest reserve which is near Maleny and has spectacular views of the Glasshouse mountains

Glasshouse Mountains National Park which has many walks - some are easy walks around the base of some of the mountains and others are for experienced climbers only
